Cosette & Drew's Wedding at the Quechee Inn in Vermont

We spent last weekend in Vermont visiting friends, family, taking at least one class four road to check out the fall colors, and hanging out with Cosette and Drew at the lovely Quechee Inn on Saturday. It’s been a couple of years since our last wedding at the inn, but the atmosphere hasn’t changed much - and that’s a great thing. The main building (built in 1793) still feels like it’s more likely haunted than not and the grounds, especially during this particular weekend, were showing brilliant oranges and yellows in the trees. Mostly overcast and slightly breezy all day, leaves fell everywhere we looked and with the chilly evening temps this wedding felt firmly settled in autumn.

Cosette and Drew seemed like they couldn’t stop smiling all day. The joy of making it to this day radiated from them both as the evening progressed and we got the sense that they couldn’t believe it was finally happening. We get it - this year has felt like a constant question of “will this or that happen,” which has been immensely stressful for both vendors and couples, and it seems surreal to have gotten to this point. We found ourselves grinning behind our cameras watching these two enjoy one another’s company, surrounded by friends and family equally joyous. During the reception the dance floor remained consistently packed and lively dance offs became a regular thing as Cosette and Drew closed out their wedding day in Quechee, and we left Vermont the following afternoon feeling so lucky to document celebrations this beautiful for a living.
