Lauren & Sam's Lakeside Camp Wedding at Hale Education in Westwood, MA

Lauren and Sam’s wedding last weekend at Hale Education in Westwood, MA felt like exactly the start to our summer that we needed. Through what felt like a long and dark winter, we looked forward to spending the day with these folks by the water, celebrating their wedding with their closest friends and family. Something about a lakeside wedding immediately set the tone for the day, encouraged guests to kick their shoes off, and embraced the start of the season. Rolling up to the campground, we were struck by the surrounding lush greenery that seemed to hug the beach where the ceremony was held. Dense forest areas opening up into glistening waterfront views made for quite a presentation for attendees, one we’re sure was on Lauren and Sam’s mind when they found their venue. Really leaning into the casual side of things, a taco truck offered up Tex-Mex eats of all varieties while guests relaxed under the tent for food, the pavilion for dancing. Having such a relaxed atmosphere does wonders for the overall mood of a wedding, and it seemed like all of Lauren and Sam’s hard work to foster such an environment paid off. We enjoyed watching them see friends and family they hadn’t seen in a while, dancing around while Sam guest starred as DJ for a handful of songs, taking walks with them through the incredibly beautiful (and plentiful!) walking paths near the water, and catching an absolutely stunning sunset together as Sam’s dad lit the bonfire on the beach for s’mores.
