Melissa & Bryan's Wedding at Blenheim Hill Farm in Jefferson, NY

When Melissa told us that she and Bryan were planning their wedding at Blenheim Hill Farm in the Catskills we were all in, ready to pack our bags and head to one of our favorite parts of the north east; it’s equal parts spooky and cozy and feels entirely different from the sandy biome we’re used to in Rhode Island. That well-worn Sleepy Hollow-like aesthetic extended to their venue and we found ourselves loving the texture that Blenheim had to offer. A creaky timber framed barn, an old crooked farmhouse or two, a beautifully overgrown pond and leaves of every shade of orange and red still clinging to the trees in the autumn breeze made this wedding feel as seasonable as we had hoped, and Melissa and Bryan couldn’t really have gotten luckier with the weather. Late afternoon and early evening light streamed through the trees surrounding the property, casting wildly warm light in every direction.

Bryan’s sister Tori officiated the ceremony while friends from both sides gave readings and after a glass stomp and champagne toast, guests showered Melissa and Bryan with lavender as they made their way back up the hill from the ceremony site. The joy on their faces as the realization settled in that they were officially married was beautiful to witness, and their excitement to finally be able to relax and party with their guests was palpable. Toasts from family and friends resulted in raucous laughter all throughout the barn and the ensuing dance floor action was wild. People were busting out moves we’d never seen before and the explosion of energy from literally everyone was a site to behold. Melissa and Bryan, through deft planning and incredible attention to detail, planned the wedding they’d always dreamed of and it turned out perfectly.
