Natalie & Chris's Summer Wedding at Caboose Farm in Sabillasville, MD

Falling on the only day forecasted to not have rain the entire week Natalie and Chris’s wedding, set on the rolling hills at Caboose Farm just outside of the Catoctin Mountain State Park, was both intimate and full of laughter. Natalie and Chris’s goofiness is adorable and endearing, and their natural energy and connection to one another is powerful. Wedding photography is a vulnerable sort of business: we ask a lot of our clients in photographing one of their most important days, and it involves a lot of mutual trust and comfort for it to work. Though I’ve known Natalie since the days of photography class in high school, we didn’t get a chance to meet Chris before the wedding day as they both currently live in Georgia. As Natalie told us last weekend Chris would treat us like we were his best friends that he’d known for decades the moment he met us. That is not only true for Chris but for their entire circle of family and friends. Folks came from as far away as China to celebrate these two, and the sort of loyalty they inspire from their closest friends was reciprocated in the outpouring of love we witnessed throughout the entire day. Between their two adorable pups that helped the guys and girls get ready, a surprise duet shared by Natalie and her father Pete, and photo booth sessions that got all too rowdy the day was never short on excitement. The joy around these two was contagious, spreading to every one on the dance floor and culminating in a group sing-a-long to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and we’re still smiling days later thinking about how much fun it was to celebrate with them.
