Jo & Matt's Summertime Backyard Wedding

Jo is an old co-worker of Andy's and they met working at a small metal crafting studio in Baltimore, MD. Jo is extremely humble, kind, quietly funny and hardworking - qualities mirrored in her husband Matt. When Jo asked us to photograph her wedding we jumped at the opportunity. Keeping things simple and homemade, they held their wedding in Matt's parent's back yard in Columbia, MD which gave us a chance to hang out with all of their family and friends in a place everyone was comfortable with. Standing under the swing set and giant tree that Matt and siblings spent so many years playing on, Jo and Matt said their vows. Afterwards the party under the stars in the backyard was one of our absolute favorites and included one of the sweetest father of the bride toasts we've heard, a surprise choreographed dance from Jo's siblings, and one seriously epic Congo line.
