Deanna & Alex's Industrial Corradetti Glass Studio Wedding
Deanna and Alex are one of those couples that you know within a few moments of meeting them how perfectly they compliment each other. Deanna's humor and outgoing personality contrasts Alex's more reserved, quiet nature. Spending even five minutes with them, we could tell that they were on the same wavelength 100% of the time.. Not only were Deanna and Alex patient and generous with us, they were always down to try "just one more thing" to get that one "last" photo.
These two decided to get married in a pretty unique location: the Corradetti Glass Blowing Studio in Baltimore, MD. Aside from the industrial decor, high winds and subdued late winter light made for an interesting day photographically especially during their first look at Druid Hill Park just down the road. Despite the winds and early March temperatures Deanna and Alex wanted to make images outside as much as we did, and they toughed out the brutal gusts to do so. We love working with folks like these. When we all needed a warm up and break from the winds we took shelter in an old mill building converted into a parking garage across the street from their venue, and we were equally surprised and entranced by the light that we found there.
During Deanna's and Alex's reception one thing was for certain; their community of loved ones was wide reaching and strong. Their family and friend circles' support for them was felt throughout the entire night. To us, we love our friends as we love our families and we could instantly tell that Deanna and Alex feel the same love for their friends. It's not often we photograph night time ceremonies, but their wedding made a solid case for them. With their loved ones they danced the night away under the romantic soft glow from the string lights, while the heat from the glass blowing kilns kept everyone warm.
