Sara & Pedro's Lyman Estate Wedding
Sara and Pedro told us one thing over and over again in the months leading up to their wedding: please have fun! These two made it easy. Through a shared love of good (Brazilian!) food, good beer, and good music Sara and Pedro know how to throw a great party. Between the classic beauty of Lyman Estate and the irresistible sweets from the Cookie Monstah ice cream truck, we had more than our share of fun celebrating with them. We took some time to photograph at the Lyman Estate’s greenhouses, some of the oldest in the country - built in 1804, and were struck by the sense of calm that washed over us whilst taking in the vast variety of flora. Folks came from all over the world to celebrate Sara and Pedro’s marriage. Sara’s bluegrass band provided the music for the ceremony (the recessional was the Star Wars’ throne room music!) and Pedro’s father, Manoel, read a prayer in Portuguese. The combination of Brazilian and American tradition made for a uniquely styled wedding that catered to their unique tastes. From the rodizio style table-side meat carving to the New England themed ice cream sandwiches to the combination of Brazilian and American dance music, it was a genuine coming together of two different families.
